Liff
Terms of use
Last updated 9 October 2026
The agreement between you and us for using Liff. By signing in to Liff or using it, you agree to these terms, so please read them.
About these terms
These terms are between you and the sole trader who runs Glassly and makes Liff (“we”, “us”); our details are in Contact and our details. They cover the Liff app for Android and your Liff account. Our privacy policy explains what we do with your data.
Your Liff account is also a Glassly account. What you do on glassly.dev, including anything you buy there, is covered by the Glassly terms of service.
If you use Liff for your own personal life, you’re a consumer, and nothing in these terms takes away your legal rights as one.
Who can use Liff
- You must be 13 or over to use Liff. If you’re under 18, you need a parent’s or guardian’s permission to buy Liff Plus.
- You sign in with your Google account, and you’re responsible for keeping it secure. Anything done with your account is your responsibility.
- An account is for one person. If you use Liff for a business, you confirm you’re allowed to accept these terms for it.
What Liff does
Liff makes Things: small apps built with AI from what you describe. They open inside Liff on your phone and work like any other app. Some keep their data on your phone and some keep it online. There are also ready-made Things you can try.
Liff needs an internet connection to make and change Things, and some Things need one to work. We keep improving Liff, so features change; if we take away something important that you pay for, we’ll tell you first.
Making Things and Liff Plus
- Each new Thing you make counts as one of your Things for the month. Changing your Things and using them is free, and ready-made Things are free to add.
- Without a plan you can make 3 new Things each month, counted from the 1st. With Liff Plus, a monthly subscription, you can make 20 in each month you’ve paid for. Things you don’t use don’t carry over to the next month, have no cash value and can’t be transferred or exchanged.
- A make that fails, or that you stop, doesn’t count, and trying it again never counts twice.
- To keep Liff working well for everyone, there is a fair daily limit on how many times you can make and change Things. Liff tells you if you reach it, and you can carry on the next day.
- If you buy Liff Plus, you pay in Liff through Google Play, under Google Play’s terms. You’ll see the price before you pay, and you can cancel any time in Google Play. You keep Liff Plus until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
- We may change prices, or how many Things each plan makes. We’ll tell you before a change applies to your plan, and you can cancel before it does.
- Liff doesn’t use credits. Credits and plans you buy on glassly.dev are for Glassly’s web builder, billed separately under the Glassly terms.
If something you paid for doesn’t work as it should, tell us at support@glassly.dev and we’ll put it right. Your legal rights, including to a repair, a replacement or some or all of your money back, aren’t affected.
Your Things and what you put in
- What you put into Liff, and the Things we make for you, are yours as far as the law allows. We don’t claim them.
- You let us store, copy and process them only as we need to run Liff for you: to make and change your Things, keep them working and fix problems.
- Things can include open-source code, which stays under its own licences.
- If a Thing holds information about other people, like your customers, you’re responsible for looking after it lawfully.
- Ready-made Things are ours; the copy you get is yours to use and change.
What you can’t make or do
Don’t use Liff to make anything unlawful or harmful. Liff won’t make, and you mustn’t try to make, Things that:
- include any sexual content involving children;
- support terrorism or violence, or help make weapons;
- show gore or glorify real violence;
- spread malware or harm people’s devices or data;
- deceive people, or pretend to be someone else or a real brand;
- attack or demean people for who they are, bully, harass or threaten anyone, or secretly track or spy on people;
- encourage or give instructions for self-harm, suicide or eating disorders;
- offer gambling with real money, or contain sexual content;
- sell regulated goods, or offer financial services;
- diagnose medical conditions or advise on medicine doses;
- use AI as a romantic or sexual partner, have AI present itself as a child, or have AI act as a doctor, therapist, lawyer or other licensed professional;
- are made for children, or collect identity documents.
Some features need an app of their own, and Liff won’t put them in a Thing: taking payments, showing ads, reading health data, making calls and reading your whole photo library. Liff tells you when an idea needs one, and you can leave that part out or have Glassly make it as an app.
Don’t try to get around Liff’s checks or limits, interfere with how it works, copy it, or get into other people’s accounts or data.
If you break these rules, we can refuse to make or change a Thing, stop a Thing from working, or suspend your account. If it’s serious or keeps happening, we can close your account.
Liff AI in your Things
Some Things use Liff AI while you use them: to chat with you, write, make quizzes, play a part in a game or read a photo you give them. Liff AI is an AI, not a person, and Liff reminds you of that while you chat.
- You get 50 AI replies a day without a plan, or 250 with Liff Plus, shared by all your Things. A big reply counts as 2 or 3. They refill at midnight where you are, and replies you don’t use don’t carry over.
- A reply that fails, or that Liff has to ask for again, doesn’t count.
- Liff AI needs an internet connection. To keep it working for everyone, it can rest for a while when it’s very busy; the rest of your Things keep working.
- If you write something that suggests you may be at risk of hurting yourself, Liff shows you where to get help. How Liff AI keeps you safe explains what it does.
- Don’t use Liff AI to break these terms, or try to make it break its rules.
AI can get things wrong
Things are made by AI and can have mistakes, and so can Liff AI’s replies inside them. Check that a Thing works the way you need before you rely on it, especially for anything important, like money, health or safety, and don’t rely on Liff AI for medical, legal or financial advice, or in an emergency. We don’t review Things or replies before you see them. If something isn’t right, ask Liff to change or fix it, or tell us.
Reporting a problem
If Liff makes something offensive or harmful, report it in Liff: open the Thing’s details, or its sheet, and choose Report. In a Thing that uses Liff AI, you can report a single reply the same way. You can also tell us at support@glassly.dev with what happened and, if you can, a screenshot, and write to us if you see Liff being misused. We’ll look into it and act on it.
Our service
We work to keep Liff running well, but we can’t promise it will always be available or free of faults. Online Things we run for you have limits, such as how much they can store and how long they can go unused. Things that keep their data on your phone work without a connection.
Ending the agreement
You can stop using Liff and delete your account at any time. We can suspend or close your account if you break these terms, don’t pay what you owe, or if the law requires it; unless it’s serious, we’ll tell you first and give you a chance to put it right.
Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn’t let us limit.
If you’re a consumer, we’re responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or not using reasonable care and skill. We aren’t responsible for losses that weren’t foreseeable, or for business losses.
If you use Liff for business, we aren’t responsible for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profit, revenue, data or goodwill, and our total responsibility in any 12 months is limited to the greater of what you paid us in that time and £100.
Google Play
Google isn’t part of this agreement and isn’t responsible for Liff. Google Play’s own terms apply to downloading Liff and to anything you pay for through Google Play.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when Liff or the law changes. We’ll update the date at the top, and tell you about important changes by email or in Liff before they apply. If you don’t agree, you can stop using Liff and delete your account.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you’re a consumer, you can bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales or of the part of the UK where you live, and you keep the protections of the law where you live. If you use Liff for business, the courts of England and Wales decide any dispute. Please tell us about a problem first; most things can be sorted out by email.
